QUICK SKETCHES BY "Masterworks for Nature" ARTISTS

What: Quick sketches: "Masterworks for Nature" artists will create fast sketches.
Where: Art Works on Main, 109 North Main, Mansfield, Ohio
When: Saturday, April 30th, 2pm-4pm
Why: An exciting opportunity to watch world renowned artist create works of art. Meet and mingle with the artists. Sketches will be portraits of the Ohio Bird Sanctuary's educational birds. Images will be auctioned that evening at the benefit art auction.
Proceeds will support the Ohio Bird Sanctuary
and the Mansfield Art Center.

EVENING BENEFIT ART AUCTION

What: Benefit art auction by the "Masterworks for Nature" artists.
Artist will do a "quick finish" on the auction pieces. Own an original!

WINGS & TALONS YOUTH ART SHOW: The Ohio Bird Sanctuary and Mansfield Art Center are hosting the sixteenth annual Wings & Talons Youth Art Show & Competition . This year the event will be held in conjunction with a professional Wildlife Art Exhibit by Works of Nature and the Mohican Wildlife Weekend. The entries are due: April 20th, 2011. The show is judged on: April 27th, 2011 and the Exhibit will be held May 1-30th at Art Works on Main, adjacent gallery at 205 North Main, in the Mansfield Carrousel District.

Guidelines:
1.Artwork must be created by individuals under the age of eighteen.
2.Subject must be wildlife.
3.Any medium can be used.
4.Artwork competing for the poster award must be a species native to Ohio.
5.Maximum size 16"by 22"
6.Artwork must be matted or on foam core. (sculptures excluded)

Summer Nature Camp: Summer Nature Camp will be held June 21-23, June 28-30. July 26-28, August 2-4, and August 9-11. These 3 day camps run from 9am to 1 pm and are for children ages 6 through 12 years old. 6 year olds must have FINISHED first grade. Each camp has a theme. Themes to be announced soon. Camp Fee:$75.
