Kid's Camps

At the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, summer is one of the busiest times of the year! During the summer season we run 3-day day camps which begin at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm. Our camps are themed, with each week teaching different environmental prinicples and science standards. We also encourage the children to recognize the value of nature and how much fun it is to spend time outside! Some past themes include: The Water Cycle, Plants, Survival in the Wild, Amphibians, and (of course) Birds.

OBS Summer Camp may be attended by children from 6 to 12 years old. Six year old's must have completed 1st grade. If you have any questions concerning your child attending camp, please call the Sanctuary (419-884-4295) talk to one of our staff members. Nature Camp participants will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.

Each camp is supervised by at least two staff members who may be assisted by a Jr. Naturalist. There is a limit of 20 children per camp.
