The Sanctuary is an ideal venue for a field trip, whether it be for your classroom or the entire grade. Field trips consist of four components all of which can be tailored to your specific needs. A traditional trip is made of a guided tour of our facilities, a nature hike with one of our staff, a live bird presentation, and either a nature based game or owl pellets. Trips can be either half day or whole day and their is no charge for bus drivers or teachers. *Their is no additional charge for owl pellets on field trips.

A guided tour is a great way to learn about many of our native species of birds of prey and to get to know the Sanctuary better. A staff member will present information on the natural history of each species of bird and also personal information about each bird. The tour also consist of a trip into our songbird aviary and a chance to feed our songbirds. Tour groups have a maximum number of 30 people at a time. A tour does not include a bird show but one can be added.
