
The Sanctuary offers many opportunities onsite that will provide any age group with lasting memories. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call the Sanctuary at 419-884-4295 and a staff member will gladly assist you.

The Sanctuary is an ideal venue for a field trip, whether it be for your
classroom or the entire grade. Field trips consist of four components all of
which can be tailored to your specific needs. A traditional trip is made of a
guided tour of our facilities, a nature hike with one of our staff, a live bird
presentation, and either a nature based game or owl pellets. Trips can be either
half day or whole day and their is no charge for bus drivers or teachers. *Their is no additional charge for owl pellets on field trips.

A guided tour is a great way to learn about many of our native species of birds of prey and to get to know the Sanctuary better. A staff member will present information on the natural history of each species of bird and also personal information about each bird. The tour also consist of a trip into our songbird aviary and a chance to feed our songbirds. Tour groups have a maximum number of 30 people at a time. A tour does not include a bird show but one can be added.
Time: 1:00 - 3:00PM
Cost: $4 per student per session if attending all three sessions. Or $5 a student if attending one or two sessions only.

We are only accepting 20 students per session so in order to hold your spot we need your registration and payment in advance. This is a first come first serve basis. A live bird of prey show usually consisting or two to three birds of prey. Each program usually last anywhere from 1/2 hour to a full hour. Requesting birds is encouraged. After 6:30PM an additional $25 fee will added to your final charge.
