The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a rehabilitation facility for raptors and songbirds. We do our best to return the birds to their rightful place in the wild. When a bird does not recover adequately enough to survive in the wild, we place it at our facility or another educational facility. The bird then acts as an ambassador for the facility.
If you have recently brought an injured/orphaned bird to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary
you may check on the the status by clicking below. You should have received a
case number on the admittance card you were given when dropping the bird off.
Click on the case number and your patient's status should be listed. We update the cases every
Tuesday so check back for current updates weekly. You should also receive a card in the mail with the animal's final disposition. Thank you for taking the time to assure this bird would receive prompt and proper care.
