The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a rehabilitation facility that accepts raptors and songbirds. Once we have received a bird we do our best to return the bird to its rightful place in the wild. When a bird does not recover adequately to survive in the wild we will place it at our facility or another educational facility. The bird then acts as an ambassador for the facility.

If you have recently brought an injured/orphaned bird to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary you may check on the bird’s status by clicking below. You should have received a case number on the admittance card you were given when dropping the bird off. Click on the case number and your bird’s status should be listed. We update the cases every Tuesday so check back for current updates weekly. You should also receive a card in the mail of your bird’s final disposition. Thank you for taking the time to assure this bird would receive prompt and proper care.
