Adopt-a-Bird Program
Support the care of one of our resident birds through our Adopt-a-Bird Program! By "adopting" one of our birds, you are helping provide high quality care for that bird as well as the other birds that live here at the Sanctuary!
Some Adoption Levels include a stuffed animal of your adopted bird or an opportunity to meet the bird you chose up-close! This is the perfect gift for the bird lover in your family!

Level 1: Plush Adoption
Cost: $60
Adopt an animal plush to support the care of our feathered (and furry) friends! This adoption includes:
- A plush that resembles the bird (or animal) of your choice
- A fact sheet about the species
- A personalized Certificate of Adoption
- A "Curious Critters Birds" book by David FitzSimmons
- This option is limited to the following species: Bald Eagle, Red-Tailed Hawk, Great Horned Owl, Peregrine Falcon, and Peter, the Netherland Dwarf Rabbit.
Level 2: Meet and Greet
Cost: $100
Support the care of one of our resident birds and meet the bird of your choice! This adoption includes:
- Opportunity to meet your adopted bird up close with up to 5 guests
- An emailed fact sheet about the species
- An emailed Certificate of Adoption
- Optional Add-On: Personalized Adoption Plaque
Level 3: Treehouse Adoption
Cost: $150
Support the care of one of our resident birds and meet the bird of your choice in our Treehouse Classroom! This adoption includes:
- Opportunity to meet your adopted bird up close with up to 5 guests in our Treehouse Classroom
- An emailed fact sheet about the species
- An emailed Certificate of Adoption
- Optional Add-On: Personalized Adoption Plaque
Level 4: Meet and Observe
Cost: $150
Support the care of one of our resident birds, meet the bird of your choice, and observe the bird in training! This adoption includes:
- Opportunity to meet your adopted bird up close with up to 5 guests. You and your guests will be able to observe the bird working on a trained behavior.
- An emailed fact sheet about the species
- An emailed Certificate of Adoption
- Optional Add-On: Personalized Adoption Plaque
This option is limited to the following species: Red-Tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, and Black Vulture
Behaviors include:
- Red-Tailed Hawk: Flight
- American Kestrel: Flight
- Black Vulture: Painting
